Cabassous chacoensis : Commonly known as cabasú chaqueño is a species of cingulate mammal in the clamifóridos family; lives in non-dense xerophilic forests, in open savannahs near salt flats and seeks refuge in hollowed out in the forest. They are nocturnal, lonely and little seen. It feeds on insects, larvae, beetles, lizards, ants and termites and sometimes kills hens to feed.
