In Central America it is another way to call jail. In Colombia and especially in the Arhuaca culture it is the title given to a spiritual leader who is a defender of nature. A bird in the family Fringillidae that was endemic to Hawaii and now extinct. Its scientific name is Drepanis pacifica.
