SacaveraLas sacaveras or salamanders (Salamandra salamandra ) they are common and even abundant in much of Asturias. It is a species of salamander amphibian with a huge variability manifested especially in the external characteristics like coloration and the distribution of spots and yellow designs and black of her skin.In Asturias the salamanders usually have a color predominantly yellow and have black spots. The most common subspecies is the Salamandra salamandra bernardezi which is characterized by yellow skin and black lists throughout the body one in back and one on each side. There are other subspecies that can be found on the flanks of the territory, but there is a recently described subspecies ( the publication of results was in 2006 in Germany, ) called Salamandra salamandra alfredschmidti. It is characterized by lack of the black list in the side.In principle the description was made to Tendi Valley in Piloña, although there are citations in the area of the Sueve.Pero as always things are broader if there is more knowledge. And is that in Langreo, at least in the Valley of the Samuño, practically all the sacaveras lack of black lists and are mostly dirty yellow, almost Brown. It is therefore very likely to be a fairly widespread subspecies of initially contributed.
