In some villages in the interior of the island of Puerto Rico ( e.g., Orocovis, Aibonito ) called " empleita " to the dreaded 40 centipedes; quilópodo ). Possibly derived from the old Spanish used on the island, this name seems to be given to the quilópodo due to its resemblance with some woven or plaited straw were known as empleita. According to the Puerto Rican lingu/ista Manuel Álvarez Nazario, empleita was the name of a rustic cast ( dialectal Word previously used in Andalusia and Granada, Spain ) used to prepare " 34 Earth cheese;.
