In men, it is usually attached to the beard. In some Caribbean countries it is another name for watermelon (Citrullus lanatus).
In Colombia it has two meanings. One is hair, part of the beard or villi that grows ahead of the ears. The other is the name of a cucurbit plant and its fruits which are also known as watermelon, Sindría, aguamelón or water melon. Its scientific name is Citrullus lanatus (belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family).
