Chucu Chucu takes its name from the sound that makes the güiro in rhythms like Colombian cumbia and vallenato. They are sticky rhythms that dance is easy, shuffling back and forth, or to one side and another. They have been a musical streak to Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador (with echoes in Mexico and Peru).
